Kiati | Inupiaq/Iñupiaq Shirt

$21.00

Iñupiaq. Inupiaq. Our ancestors knew many dialects; we know that people can ask a question in one style, and reply in another. At Iḷisaqativut, we celebrate all ways of speaking and work together to perpetuate and grow our shared language.

This shirt is a statement of unity amongst all Iñupiat/Inupiat, whether the variation of your community palatalizes (says: ~ ) or not. We need each other, and learning together is a lot more fun.

There is everything special to celebrating the ways of our particular communities; our language comes from the environment and land, and our environments have so much diversity from village to village. The Inupiaq Atautchikun Shirt provides flexibility for local styles to be honored, while forging connection with all other Iñupiat.
